proofread.law checks case citations in a document against open registers of case law and reports what it found, what it could not verify and what to check. It is a proofreading tool, not legal advice, and not a substitute for reading the authority.
The report can be wrong. The error rates are published on the coverage page and you should read them before relying on a report. You remain responsible for every citation you file.
The free tier is limited as described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, renew automatically, and can be cancelled from the account page at any time; the plan then runs to the end of the period paid for and is not renewed. Refunds for a period already started are at our discretion. Prices may change with 30 days' notice by email.
API keys are for the account holder's own use and tools; sharing a key outside the firm, or using the service to build a competing register, is not permitted. We may suspend an account that exceeds the limits of its plan or sends abusive traffic.
We do not store what you submit. See privacy.
The service is provided as is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, Data Alchemy Labs is not liable for losses arising from the use of a report.
